The Acerbo Law

The Acerbo Law was an electoral reform forced through Parliament in 1923.  It guaranteed a two-thirds majority in the Chamber of Deputies for the party that received the largest number of votes in an election.  Mussolini gained a huge majority after the 1924 election because of this method.  It was an important step in order for Mussolini to gain complete control of Italy.
